Back to Camp

Wearing green (with traces of black, brown and khaki) again. Had some second thoughts after two days in camp, which only reminded me of how pointless much of Army life can be. Sure, I can help out here and there, but mostly it's a case of SAFO. Ah. Haven't managed to confirm how much leave I have socked away, but I estimate it'll be another month plus a bit before I finally ORD LOH! Bliss.

The guys in my new department aren't bad at all, though, and there's another disruptee back after graduating from Law in the UK, who didn't manage to extend his study term to cover his conversion Diploma at NUS. Obviously cases like us can't be expected to take on any sort of permanent role, so we were mostly left to look suitably busy whenever anyone of consequence enters the office room. Got so bored that I voluntarily did some sorting and shredding. At least the documents to be disposed qualify as reading material.

While it's not exactly a hard life, I can't help but count the days as I did one and a half years ago. It's a way of extending your perceived lifespan, I suppose.
