This here blog pulled over 1000 pageviews/day (about five times the average) on the 2nd of November, for the first time since its inception - gee, I wonder if it was a rogue search engine bot [incidentally, it seems even Google's not so nice after all - was it inevitable? but frankly, privacy on the Internet has always been a mere illusion] or a stuck F5 key. Handed off two project reports in the last few days, which was a load off my shoulders. There were the usual last-minute jitters about whether I could have done more, but in the end it was, like, what the heck - there's a finite amount of marks to be obtained, and going the extra mile is plain inefficient if there isn't actual learning involved. And on the subject of shoulders, my next IPPT is in early January. More sit-ups now, with hopping around and speed training after the exams then. Groan. My grandfather's birthday last week, with McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut and fries and noodles besides, didn't help: ![]() Must... not... be tempted... Which brings us to some of the food I've gotten loaded with in the past months. Credit to my cousins, my mum, and my professors. Back up to about sixty-seven and a half kilos, the weight gains of whch I hope are mostly functional: ![]() Catalog of free food A guy can't lose a few pounds in peace these days... ![]() Eat! Eat! Eat! On the hammie front, suspicions were raised that Ms. Robo G. Grey is, in fact, Mr. Robo G. Grey, after she (he?) was caught in flagrante delicto with the charming Ms. Robo W. White. While I'm reasonably sure that that's simply hamster dominance behaviour, here's to hoping that Ms. Robo W. White is just getting fat. If not, well played, Mr. Roboto. ![]() I know I know No dice in footie prediction last week, with Spurs being Spurs, United still half-awake, and Blackpool being cheated of a last minute winner. P$487/P$850 doesn't look good (and how is United at 1.50 away against Aston Villa?). $50 on Blackpool to beat West Ham (at 3.70) $50 on Arsenal to beat Everton (2.00) Next: Sanwichedend
