Melancholic, uplifting, brutal, wicked, cynical, zany and raunchy in about that order in reverse, I would gladly pay for a quality dead-tree compilation, which is about as high a honour as it gets around here. Flat colouring and the selective usage of grey shades to indicate focus never looked so good.

Korean in origin but near-universal in (most of) its gags, it slots easily between classics like the Perry Bible Fellowship and SMBC (recently added to the permanent links section).

Commentary on some recent news snippets: Would-be Times Square car bomber Faisal Shahzad was sentenced to life in prison (can't quite get over the fact that the Nissan Pathfinder used cost just S$1.8k...), and a subway bombing plot (coincidentally by another immigrant from Pakistan) was foiled because he recorded video of the metro station (so the no photography restriction at MRT stations, which I always thought silly, has some justification after all).

As noted, it is fortunate that terrorist organizations still do not have much access to well-groomed individuals who can smile, ask for directions, and figure out that rush hour is prime time for inflicting casualties without requiring four separate scouting trips and videotape evidence on top of that - they might perhaps take a leaf out of the founder of the Scout movement, and pretend they were sketching butterflies. Failing that, they could at least flop in a cuter way.
