HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Another new year is nearly upon us, a particularly appropriate juncture at which to reduce my bookmark list once more. Incidentally, 2012 is now being hailed as not the end but a new beginning for humanity (which happens to be the usual fate of doomsday prophecies) after doing its bit for the entertainment industry; I took that as a prediction that the Singapore Lions are gonna win the Malaysia Cup.

Got a glimpse of the new platform at Jurong East and nearly-complete JCube (replacing the former JEC, which some suspect collapsed after suffering one cinema-and-soft-drink-freerider too many) on Thursday, at which it struck me that deep down, I actually love the bustle of progress, or at any rate the appearance of it. Managing the crowds is another matter of course - if only Singapore were twice as large and half as wet!

Mazes for mice? Pshaw! They won't settle for anything less than swimming pools now, with Mr. Ham diverting some of his funds into rodent amusement parks.

But Google Chrome is helping to bury Firefox, at least. About the only thing I've been an early adopter of.
And so far, they have still been feeling lucky.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had his private photos leaked. Likes: 23 million.
DRAM to replace hard drives? Whoa, too fast, I haven't even gotten my first solid-state drive (or smartphone - got recommended the Lumia by my cousin) yet!
