Briefer And Briefer

Bless Dropbox for maintaining old versions of files - there're probably few realisations more heartstopping than wondering what's happened to half of the document you've been working on... only to realise that a few days' worth of changes accidentally got overwritten when an old version on another computer got saved.

With that in mind, let's make this quick - the Lions have just been dumped out of the Suzuki Cup after conceding what I thought was a pretty soft last-minute penalty, which I felt was some hard luck. Where's Sting when you need him?

More on art, an especially... expressive lady researcher with the prestigious A*Star has delved into her own pocket to fund a S$1000-a-month grant, after making it very clear on her relevant profile page that she is not into science at all, and staying on at the agency only under sufferance. About this, not a few netizens wondered why she signed on for not one, but two of those then, and I have got to concur.

Continuing onto the darker arts, one Julien Blanc has been barred from entering the country, apparently after an online petition encouraged by the success of a similar action in Britain. For all the muttering about freedom of movement, persona non grata is not that rare a status, though hopefully this isn't used to set a precedent. That said, I've no idea how his techniques can plausibly work, but eh, you could Google his name if interested - the Internet's open to all.

Other than China, where they're going after puns, of all things, because grass mud horse. Yeah, good luck parsing creative references like May 35 forever.
