Literally Jiao Wei

It's probably not hugely unexpected that the home renovation's been delayed (there goes the second quarter completion plan), but here's another sneak peek at a self-invited visitor, after the glass curtains to the roof terrace were left open:

Taking a breather from island-hopping

No mask, no service, so he got ejected in short order, after some indignant chirping and flying around in circles. Perhaps he'll be back some day, and it's not like the apartment hasn't already hosted a bunch of our feathered friends, but that's for next time.

More pertinently, the latest management council AGM had apparently concluded with a survey distributed to sound out interest in en bloc-ing the property already, because "As most owners are aware, the recent property transactions do not reflect the value of the property". I haven't even moved in yet! Sure, the per-square-foot (psf) price has been a little on the low side (partly why I went for it) - about S$1.2k psf for larger units of about 800 square feet, and S$1.6k+ for smaller one-bedders about 400 square feet, as compared to spanking-new neighbouring developments listing for about S$2k psf - but the entire building is barely eight years old. Tearing it down for a rebuild just to try and milk additional price appreciation just seems a little silly, but that's the real estate market for you.
